Diazyme's Adiponectin Assay is utilized for the determination of total Adiponectin concentration in serum. The assay has a linear range from 1.12 - 40 mg/L and has a Within-Run and Between-Run precision CV of ≤ 4.9%. Studies have shown that decreased expression of Adiponectin correlates with insulin resistance.

Product Features
Diazyme's Adiponectin Assay is utilized for the determination of total Adiponectin concentration in serum. The assay has a linear range from 1.12 - 40 mg/L and has a Within-Run and Between-Run precision CV of ≤ 4.9%. Studies have shown that decreased expression of Adiponectin correlates with insulin resistance. Adiponectin appears to be a potent insulin enhancer linking adipose tissue and whole body glucose metabolism.

Assay Principle
Diazyme's Adiponectin Assay is based on a latex enhanced immunoturbidimetric method. Adiponectin in the sample binds to the specific anti-adiponectin antibodies, which are coated on latex particles, and causes agglutination. The degree of the turbidity caused by agglutination can be measured optically and is proportional to the amount of Adiponectin in the sample. The instrument calculates the Adiponectin concentration of a sample by interpolation of the obtained signal of a 6-point calibration curve.
Intended use
The Diazyme Adiponectin Assay is for the determination of total adiponectin concentration in serum by latex enhanced immunoturbidimetric method. For Research Use Only in the U.S.A.
