| Product Features The Diazyme wide range C-Reactive Protein Assay has a linear range of 0.01– 32 mg/dL. This extended reporting capability enables labs to improve efficiency, save operator time and reagent expense by utilizing a single assay method for both low and elevated CRP concentrations. There is no need to dilute samples and no reagent preparation required. The assay has no significant interference by hemoglobin up to 500 mg/dL, Rheumatoid Factor up to 560 IU/mL, bilirubin to 30 mg/dL and Intrafat up to 5%. |

Assay PrincipleThe assay is based on a latex-enhanced turbidimetric immunoassay method. When an antigen-antibody reaction occurs between CRP in a sample and anti-CRP antibody which has been sensitized to latex particles, agglutination results. This agglutination is detected as an absorbance change (572 nm), with the magnitude of the change being proportional to the quantity of CRP in the sample. The actual concentration is then determined by interpolation from a calibration curve prepared from calibrators of known concentration. |

| Intended use The Diazyme high sensitive C-Reactive Protein Assay is intended for the in vitro quantification of CRP levels in serum or plasma samples with high sensitivities. |
