5'-Nucleotidase (EC 3.1.3.5)
5'-Nucleotidase catalyzes the hydrolytic reaction converting adenosine
5’-monophosphate to adenosine and inorganic phosphate.
AMP + H2O → Ado + Pi
The enzyme is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli,
and purified chromatographically. The enzyme is useful in the determination
of AMP and may be used as a control for 5’-Nucleotidase activity
assay in clinical diagnostics.
