Ascorbate Oxidase (EC 1.10.3.3)
Ascorbate Oxidase catalyzes the following reaction:
L-Ascorbic acid +1/2O2 |

Diazyme Ascorbate Oxidase is purified from Cucumis sp. and has optimum pH at 5.6. The enzyme is stable between pH 7.0-10.0. Contaminant of catalase is < 0.1%. The enzyme is useful for enzymatic assays of ascorbic acid and for eliminating the interference of ascorbic acid in clinical diagnostic tests.
